Deionization Systems

Ultra pure water production and mineral removal with ion exchange

Watercoach deionization systems are advanced technology solutions that provide ultra pure water production by removing all ions in water.

Using ion exchange resins, both positively charged cations and negatively charged anions are completely removed from water. These systems are critically important in pharmaceutical, electronics and laboratory applications where the highest purity level is required. The deionization process is carried out through tanks containing special ion exchange resins.

Cation exchanger units exchange positively charged ions such as calcium, magnesium and sodium with hydrogen ion. Anion exchanger units exchange negatively charged ions such as chloride, sulfate, bicarbonate and silica with hydroxide ion. Ultra pure water is obtained as a result of this two-stage process. Watercoach mixed bed deionization systems work by mixing cation and anion resins in the same tank.

This configuration enables reaching extremely high resistance values such as 18.2 MegaOhm. It is an ideal solution for pharmaceutical standards and electronics industry requirements. After being used for a certain period, resins reach saturation and require regeneration. In the regeneration process, cation resin is renewed with acid and anion resin with caustic soda.

Regeneration in Watercoach systems is performed completely automatically. This guarantees continuous ultra pure water production. Deionization systems are generally used as a polishing stage after reverse osmosis. As Watercoach, we provide the highest purity water production with RO + Deionization combinations.

Our systems are successfully used in pharmaceutical industry, electronics and semiconductor production, laboratory applications, cosmetics production, power plant boiler water, chemical industry and galvanizing processes.
